New Video: TEXAS - The Conversation + Sharleen's Epic fall

One of the biggest bands of the 90's are back.

TEXAS had their first hit single 'I Don't Want A Lover' in 1989 and went on to have a string of hits throughout the 90's and early 2000's until the band took a haitus

Now, 8 years on from their last album, the group fronted by vocalist SHARLEEN SPITERI have gone back into the studio to record new album 'The Conversation'

The title track is also the new single and the video was filmed in Paris

However during the filming of the video, SHARLEEN had a bit of a mishap as she ran around a street corner and ended up almost eating the pavement. She was rushed to hospital but fortunately she did not suffer any permanent damage. The whole thing was caught on film in a sort of 'You've Been Framed' moment.  

The new album is released on May 20th

New Cover: JESSIE WARE - Love Thy Will Be Done (MARTIKA cover)

The fact that JESSIE WARE is inspired by 80's & 90's music is no secret so it was no surprise when she took to Soundcloud to post this great cover.

'Love Thy Will Be Done' was a 1991 hit for US Latino pop star MARTIKA taken from her second album 'Martika's Kitchen' and was co-written and produced for her by PRINCE

The singer, who's debut album has just been released in the US, Tweeted 'I am a huge fan of this Prince written Martika song, so I covered it' *Fair Enough!

 

Her version stays faithful to the original which you can watch below

Music News: STOOSHE album cover revealed

STOOSHE finally unveil the cover of their debut album.

'London With The Lights On' is finally for release on May 27th and will be preceded by the single 'Slip'  

It will be version two of the album after the original version, which was due for release last November, was scrapped.

The album is set to contain all previous single, minus their cover of T.L.C's 'Waterfalls' which was not generally well received.

New Video: ALICIA KEYS & MAXWELL - Fire We Make

ALICIA KEYS doesn't do that many duets, so when she does, they're usually pretty special.

'Fire We Make' is the latest track to be taken from her current album 'Girl On Fire' and is a duet with smooth soul man MAXWELL

The video was filmed in New Orleans and is set around the early 50's, showing the two 

vocalists getting a little steamy separately before finally meeting at the end.

It's a welcome return to the music scene to CLARE MAGUIRE

Two years on from the release of her debut album 'Light After Dark' the big voiced Birmingham girl is getting ready to release brand new material this year but in the meantime took time out to post this cover on Soundcloud.

'The Last Time I Saw Richard' was recorded by legendary singer/songwriter JONI MITCHELL and was originally on her 1971 classic album 'Blue'

New Video: CIARA - Body Party

One of R&B'S hottest stars CIARA is back.

'Body Party' is the latest from the Texan singer and the sexy video features cameos from LUDACRIS, TRINIDAD JAME$ and current partner (and also the song's co-writer) FUTURE HENDRIX with whom she shares acting duties in the clip.

The track has the flavour of a retro 90's R&B slow jam, even down to the cheeky reference to GHOST TOWN DJ's 1996 hit 'My Boo''. Spot the 'similarity' below

Her self titled 5th studio album is due for release in July.

'Blind Belief' is the forthcoming single from new singer/songwriter JONATHAN WHISKERED
