'Kiss Me' is the new track from Lithuanian singer/songwriterVIOLETA SKYA
Based in the UK since 2014, the prolific musician has a history in everything from classical to rock and jazz, but it's pure pop she's focused on her latest release.
'Kiss Me', produced by JOSE CUBIDES, has all the hallmarks of late 80's/early 90's pop dance and has very strong influences from the likes MADONNA or KYLIE but with a modern twist

'Hundred' is the latest release from all round creative RASHELLE and is the first track to be taken from her forthcoming EP due for release in Autumn this year.
Working with long time producer/collaborator Morten Schjolin (credits include NELLY and JLO), the pair have delivered this beautiful piece of chilled RnB -Pop. ‘Hundred’ is a post club, late night RnB jam which showcases RASHELLE’s sweet vocal tone and sexy delivery. She explains:
“I usually put out music that’s very feisty and has a lot of edge to it, but this track shows my softer side and a more organic approach to writing... I originally penned it on the piano and it was such a beautiful piece, very emotionally driven lyrically. My producer then put this cool Soca beat around it and I couldn’t stop listening to it. It’s my new baby!”
As a songwriter, RASHELLE has written for artists including WILEY and SNEAKBO. Her work as a top line writer has led to collaborating with New York super producer Omen, known for his work with BEYONCE, DRAKE and LIL WAYNE.
Her work also grabbed the attention of producer Levi Lennox (the man behind ZAYN MALIK’s ‘Pillow Talk’), who has now produced a track off her up-coming EP. The EP will also see features from UK MC SCRUFIZZER and an exciting remix featuring Bronx rapper CoCONNIE DIAMONDwho has recently featured on MS BANKS’ ‘Designer’. Check out 'Hundred' here
YouTube has been responsible for creating some huge music
stars over the last few years and with over 9 million views already on her
channel LIANNE KAYE could easily be adding to that list before too long.
Hailing from Essex the singer/songwriter has specialised in
creating uniquely interpreted covers of current and recent hits as well as
working on her own original material. For this, her debut London headline show, she was to showcase
both.
The line up for the night also included two other incredibly
talented artists.
First up was ALEEM. Born in Chicago and now living in LA,
the 24 year old had just flown into town but it was long before he was
performing. No stranger to our shores, he had the auspicious honour of opening
for FIFTH HARMONY on their European arena tour last year with what he describes
as his own brand of ‘acoustic-guitar driven R&B tinged pop’.
Although far from an arena, ALEEM still knows how to captivate an audience in intimate surroundings and his set definitely charmed
a few along the way. Highlights included original song and recent single ‘Inside
Out’ and a cover of one of his favourite songs ‘Breakeven’ by THE SCRIPT.
Next on the bill was NYNA, born in Serbia she is a
classically trained singer/songwriter and pianist since the age of 5 who has
been making waves recently with her official debut single ‘Faces’ which has
gained recognition and several plays across the BBC Introducing platforms.
She describes her music as dark pop but there is also an empowering
element on each track. There is a power to her vocals as well, at times her
style could be compared to that of ADELE but that would be doing her a
disservice as it has it’s own unique quality which had the crowd stunned into
silence.
It was time for our headliner. LIANNE KAYE grabbed her guitar and
was joined on stage by her 3 piece band. Where there had been calm previously,
we were about to be rocked.
Kicking off with original material in the shape of slight
country edged ‘Everything To Me’ it’ was clear this girl meant business. Next came
the first of her covers, giving RIHANNA’s ‘Only Girl In The World’ a complete
overhaul and almost transforming it into a rock ballad.
More reworked cover tracks followed with versions of KINGS OF LEON
& FOO FIGHTERS classics given more faithful workouts. These were interspersed
with other original tracks including my own personal favourite of the night ‘Vacancy’ that displayed a more soulful edge to her vocal.
With two more songs to go, LIANNE included her version of a
song that I don’t remember ever being covered by anyone else. I haven’t heard ANASTACIA’s
‘Left Outside Alone’ for some time but hearing this take on it made it sound like
a new release.
The show was wrapped up with her most recent single ‘Clear’
leaving us in no doubt that it really IS clear that LIANNE KAYE is an artist to watch out for.
Rising R&B artist TA'SHAN's music is as much of a cultural mixture as the lady herself.
Her heritage is Swiss-Indian and she grew up in Switzerland but now London is her home.
TA'SHAN already has a strong social media following, has opened shows for the likes of SEAN PAUL, RYAN LESLIE and LIL JOHNand is something of an entrepreneur with her#BombayMami brand
Her brand new single 'High' has just been released and throws all her influences into the mix while keeping a contemporary sound that Ta’Shan has self-coined as ‘R'n'Trap with a hint of India’
'1000 Years' is the new single from New York based singer/songwriter LIZ ASARO
The rocking track has electronic elements and fans of 90's alt pop rock might like to know that vocally LIZ bares similarities to that of ALANIS MORRISETTE or DELORES O'RIORDAN of THE CRANBERRIES while her backing band comprises of members that have played with the likes of BLONDIE, DAVID BOWIEandDURAN DURAN.
She's currently working with the Grammy winning writers behind RIHANNA on her debut album.
Check out the single version of '1000 Years' now which is also available as a FREE download
Meanwhile LIZ has already created a video for an acoustic version of the track
Another quick search also reveals a CUTMORE remix of the track making it ready for the dancefloor.
LIZ will be in London in September to play at London Fashion Week
She may be a new name in the UK (despite have British roots) but ALICE MERTON is already making waves across Europe where her latest single 'No Roots' has already been massive.
It's already reached number 2 in Germany and 4 in the Swiss charts and is about to drop in the US too where it's expected to be just as popular.
Grabbing you with the infectious bassline from the off, the single has an anthemic hook from ALICE's powerhouse vocal that once heard will not be out of your head all day.
The video for 'No Roots' has already obtained a massive 22 million views and counting, so if you want to add to that ever growing total, take a look here
Set to blow you away, 'Man With A Gun' is the debut track from new London based singer/songwriter SOPHIE CASTILLO
A girl who clearly knows how to rock you are sure to be hearing more from Sophie, who recently also had another of her tracks, 'Who's That Man', picked up by BBC Introducing who are loving her alternative edge too.
