New Video: FREAK ASYLUM - You Better Leave

KELLY LLORENA has been the voice associated with some of the biggest clubland tracks of the last couple of decades, both as a solo artist and as featured vocalist for the likes of FLIP & FILL, LOVE TO INFINITY and possibly most famously with N-TRANCE on their #2 rave anthem 'Set You Free'

Her latest incarnation sees her working once again with LOVE TO INFINITY's Andy Lee in the guise of a new act named FREAK ASYLUM.

The 80's electro pop fueled 'You Better Leave' is their debut release, written by TOBY GAD (who has previously penned hits for BEYONCE, JESSIE J, THE VERONICAS & ALICIA KEYS)

New Video: DOMINIQUE B - Turn Off The Lights

There are have been lot of hot things to come out of Mexico, but the latest is more firey than a bell pepper.

DOMINIQUE B is a 19 year old who had a big dream. With a love of UK music, in 2013 luck was on her side and saw the South American's ambition realized when she finally got a chance not only to come to London (by winning her flight as part of of competition) but got to record her debut EP 'Grratitude'.

Not only that but she also filmed her her first ever music video for the EP's closing track, the uptempo dance anthem 'Turn Off The Lights'. Check it out below

New Video: PIXIE LOTT - Nasty

We haven't seen a LOTT of her lately but PIXIE is back. (See what we did there? *yes, it's fairly obvious)

'Nasty' is the first official single from her forthcoming self-titled third album aka #PixieAlbum3 and is a funky flavoured jam the groove of which comes courtesy of a sample from Jimmy "Bo" Horne's 70's track 'Dance Across The Floor'

The video itself is a bit of a steamy affair too, with it's 'good girl gone bad' theme and is vaguely reminiscent of CHRISTINA AGUILERA's 'Dirrty' (and if the rumours are true, this track was itself rejected by the US vocalist)

'Nasty' is due for release March 9th available to pre-order now on iTunes here where you will also get her unique cover's of AVICII's 'Wake Me Up', her take on BRUNO MARS song retitled 'When I Was Your Girl' and her version of the JACKIE WILSON classic '(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher & Higher' (as heard in the B&Q ads)

PIXIE LOTT describes her forthcoming album as more 'soulfully inspired' and recently also released the video for album-only track 'Heart Cry', a song with more of a 60's vibe with a suitably stylish clip shot on the streets of Paris.

New Music : DIONNE REID - #REIDMIX-Vol 1: TV Theme Tunes (Free Download)

All too often you hear artists covering the same popular songs and while the versions can be good, they are also a bit predictable 

The same can certainly not be said of the new EP from DIONNE REID 

The soulful Londoner now brings us #REIDMIX Volume 1: TV Theme Tunes and as the title suggests she has taken songs from some of her small screen favourites and given them a unique twist. 

The themes are all familiar, from classic kids cartoons to a certain Aussie soap, but are unrecognizable in their new form, in fact without knowing the titles it would take a while for you to work out exactly what the well known singalong themes are, .

2014 has already started well for the soulful MAX MARSHALL.

Currently in the top 10 with MATRIX & FUTUREBOUND as featured vocalist on their drum & bass anthem 'Control', the Baltimore born singer who is now based in East London unveils her brand new single.

'Your Love Is Like' returns to a roots and is a blend of R&B, hip-hop and soul. You can hear the influences of many of her inspirations in the track. If you are a fan of the likes of LAURYN HILL, ERYKAH BADU, INDIA ARIE & JILL SCOTT then there's a fair chance youre gonna like this.

Having already been chosen as the winner of the BBC's Sound of 2014 and has received the Critic's choice award from the BRITS, the singer/songwriter from Cambridge has finally got round to releasing his first ever official solo video, having already made his name on hug hits with DISCLOSURE and NAUGHTY BOY over the last 18 months 

The clip for 'Money On My Mind' was filmed in Las Vegas and sees SAM walking the streets while the usual things that happen in Vegas (and of course STAY there) go on around him.

New Video: PALOMA FAITH - Rely On You

PALOMA FAITH returns with yet another new look as she releases the first video from her soon to be released third album 'A Perfect Contradiction'.

'Can't Rely On You' is a funky affair, with possibly just a hint of a 'Blurred Lines' style groove which will comes as no surprises when you learn that it was co-written and produced by THE man behind that monster and several other of the big hits of 2013, namely one PHARRELL WILLIAMS.

The collaboration had already been teased with photos posted by PALOMA of the pair together on her writing trips to the US last year.

The video is predictably stylist as ever. From PALOMA's Italian spoken voice over intro to the the cult imagery and even a very beautiful (and big) black horse, the 3 minute clip has enough intrigue to sustain a full length movie with it's dark themes that ultimately leads to the singer being locked in a car that is driven into a river.

New Music: HARRIET - Afterglow

The new year always brings along new talent and 2014 is already proving no exception.

HARRIET is singer/songwriter currently gaining attention from some well known names in the business who have all picked up on her silky smooth vocals.

One notable fan was STEVE ANDERSON, best known for his production work with a variety of artists (including KYLIE MINOGUE & LEONA LEWIS) who took it upon himself to help nurture her talent. They have collaborated on new music the first fruits of which is 'Afterglow', NOT a cover of the recent WILKINSON song but a beautiful new ballad that showcases her voice (and it's amazing similarity to the late, legendary KAREN CARPENTER)

Others that have been seduced by her retro fueled sound include JUDIE TZUKE, ED HARCOURT and MARCELLA DETROIT who have all been helping HARRIET hone her writing craft.

New Music: LCGC (London Community Gospel Choir) - Sun In The Rain (Free Download)

The UK's best known choir, LONDON COMMUNITY GOSPEL CHOIR return with some brand new music for the new year.

Having had an amazing 2013 in which they celebrated their 30th anniversary, the choir, created and lead by BASIL MEADE, bring us this new track track from the forthcoming album 'New Beginnings' due out in the summer.

The soulful and uplifting 'Sun In The Rain' is co-written by members Becky Thomas & Ayo Oyerinde and is available as a free download here until January 15th.

New Music: MIKE HOUGH - Better + Tour Documentary

Our first post of last year was for the 'Stained' EP so it's only right that the first of 2014 belongs to MIKE HOUGH's latest release. 

'Better' is the forthcoming single from Dagenham's finest. In the last year Mike has been making waves on the music scene gaining recognition and fans along the way. 

He has also been given the opportunity to support the likes of US superstar BRANDY, as well as joining reformed original Sugababes MUTYA KEISHA SIOBHAN on their debut tour and JLS on their farewell tour which wound up with shows at the o2 (a personal goal for Mike).

In the exclusive documentary below watch behind the scenes footage and the singer explains how much this special event meant to him.


The single which is released on Jan 5th gained an exclusive first play from American Idol host RYAN SEACREST on his radio show and you can hear a sample below
